This has to do with not cheating and following the rules. It also means doing your best work. Trying your hardest and helping others along the way. Academic integrity is the promise to yourself. That you are'nt going to cheat or compromise this integrity at any cost.
When I researched academic integrity. I found a site that defines academic integrity as a commitment, even in the face of adversity, to five fundamental values: honesty, trust, fairness, respect, and responsibility (academicintegrity.org). What I learned from this research is that integrity is a combination of these five things. These are what complete the integrity. Only together are they truly Academic Integrity.
Which is more important your grades or your honor? I think a lot of people would answer this question differently. I think in the eyes of most students grades are everything. I disagree, I believe honor is the goal that should be sought after. The true character of a man is what he will do or not do when he won't be found out.
Wow, the short clip Walk the Talk is something I will ponder on for some time. This short clip is so inspiring and so uplifting. It talks of values and morales that I believe everybody should have. This clip made me feel ashamed of things I've done. Then I got this motivation to not be ashamed but to work hard to be the best I can be. I think you all should view this. Go to http://www.doyouwalkthetalk.com/. We should all try to Walk the Talk!
A conscience is something inside of you that directs you. When you feel like something is good or bad, this is your conscience speaking. Your concsience is something you can use all throughout your life. Use it to make choices. A conscience is in my opinion one of the best tools we all have. Always listen to your conscience.
Finally what is the value of your education? Education is a hard subject because not many of us like it. But, most of us need to do it to succeed in life. The world judges you by what you know. This makes education very valuable. There will come a time in your life that your body will start to age and give up on you. You will have your knowledge then to carry you. Education is very valuable and a lot of us don't see it that way.
